Description

Eddy Detroit with King Heathen: "The Philosopher's Journey" 1987, USA/Pan Records ED2. Disc is M-, paper wraparound cover has a small tear on the top edge, a few creases, this is VG+. This is a total monster LP, it sounds like they tried to emulate the witchy vibe that Comus captured on their 1971 LP and I think they clearly succeeded. It's actually a rather scary listen! All acoustic instruments, hand drums, vocals. Ignore the year this was released, it's a total pagan experience. It sounds like it could have been recorded in 1970. Second LP by this Arizona band, their first is harder to find but it's more punky; this is definitely their masterpiece.
