It was released in 1988 on the 'Priority/Ruthless/4th and Broadway Records' label (cat. no. BRLP 535) and comes in a card picture sleeve with a polylined black paper inner. This edition also has a wrap-around glossy paper strip with the name Eazy-E in green on black.
Eazy-E (born Eric Wright) was an American rapper, songwriter, record producer, and entrepreneur who propelled West Coast rap and gangsta rap by leading the group N.W.A. and its label, 'Ruthless Records', pushing the boundaries of lyrical content. He is often referred to as the godfather of gangsta rap.
'Eazy-Duz-It' is the only full-length solo album Eazy-E released in his lifetime; for the remaining seven years of his life, he would continue recording with N.W.A. until their break up in 1991, release two solo EPs and continue running his 'Ruthless Records' label. His second, and last solo album, 'Str8 off tha Streetz of Muthaphukkin Compton' (1996), was not released until roughly a year after his death, from complications due to HIV/AIDS.
'Eazy-Duz-It' was the debut solo album by Eazy-E, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest gangsta rap albums. The album was dominated by Eazy's persona (MC Ren was the only guest rapper) but behind the scenes it was a group effort. The music was handled by Dr. Dre and DJ Yella, while the lyrics were largely written by MC Ren, with contributions from Ice Cube and fellow 'Ruthless' rapper The D.O.C.. The album peaked at #41 on the US Billboard '200' chart, and was certified double-platinum for sales of over 2 million.
The album is in near-mint condition, and the vinyl appears to be unmarked and is Unplayed. The sleeve and wrap-around strip are both in very good condition.
