Description
Recently a friend passed away, a few months ago now. His name was George Crotty, and many of you will know of him - he was a gem of a person, and aside from the obvious sadness involved in all that, he was renowned for having one of the best collections of 60's Garage, Beat, Punk & Psychedelic 7"s, EPs and LPs (especially of Australian artists) - gathered together meticulously and carefully for longer than the 36 year period I'd known him.
Mostly, he was known for his intense passion for THE EASYBEATS, and he made a point of collecting ANYTHING by them (specifically on vinyl, but paper-goods, and other ephemera too). He'd even started to write a book on them in the years before he died, and there's a LOT of his research amongst this collection and the writings too, all typewritten (he had no handle on computers really. But all that aside, and as sad as it may be, the time has come now, to divide up and sell that collection - thus this very item is one ofGEORGE CROTTY'S PERSONAL EASYBEATS COLLECTION,
...all of which will appear here over the next few weeks...and is possibly something that some of you who knew him or knew of him, would be very proud to own, I imagine. You can guarantee he loved this - he was very particular with what he kept.

ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING? No...and this is the second pressing on the APLP-058 release...
...twelve of the fourteen tracks are Stevie Wright/George Young compositions, with "Then I'll Tell You Goodbye" as one of the earliest Vanda-Young compositions, and "What About Our Love" being a Snowy Fleet song (he sings it too!)...this album remains one of Australia's best garage/beat LPs - plus it includes some classic snotty punkers too...so you get one part Rolling Stones (listen to "Easy As Can Be"), one part Beatles ("Let Me Be"), one part Kinks, one part snotty Pretty Things ("Come And See Her"), and yep, definitely one part Yardbirds (check "Women.." just for starters!)...truly a classic and utterly essential album (honest).
