Description

 Recently a friend passed away, a few months ago now. His name was George Crotty, and many of you will know of him - he was a gem of a person, and aside from the obvious sadness involved in all that, he was renowned for having one of the best collections of 60's Garage, Beat, Punk & Psychedelic 7"s, EPs and LPs (especially of Australian artists) - gathered together meticulously and carefully for longer than the 36 year period I'd known him.

Mostly, he was known for his intense passion for THE EASYBEATS, and he made a point of collecting ANYTHING by them (specifically on vinyl, but paper-goods, and other ephemera too). He'd even started to write a book on them in the years before he died, and there's a LOT of his research amongst this collection and the writings too, all typewritten (he had no handle on computers really. But all that aside, and as sad as it may be, the time has come now, to divide up and sell that collection - thus this very item is one of

 ...all of which will appear here over the next few weeks...and is possibly something that some of you who knew him or knew of him, would be very proud to own, I imagine. You can guarantee he loved this - he was very particular with what he kept.

Original Australian release...January 1968...completely unique to Australia...first pressing...the last of their six original Australian EPs...and as equally hard to find as the two preceding it (the "Friday On My Mind", and "Heaven And Hell" EP's)...

YOU ME, WE LOVE (brilliant melodic 'Evolution'-era-Hollies-style pop psych...like the next two tracks, this is one of my fave Easybeats songs)

SATURDAY NIGHT (very very good lengthy psychedelic pop masterpiece...along with the next song, one of my fave Easybeats tracks...ever)

ALL GONE BOY (sounds so much like the Who 1966 - an absolute stunner - not a garage monster, nor a pop-psych winner, merely the epitome of their influence-soaking UK sojourn...love it immensely!)

CONDITION: (cover/record):  (VG++/MINT) ...cover has some light scuffing on top seam, bottom seam, and on corners, and a couple of very small 'spot' stains on the back...vinyl really is as clean and shiny and utterly PRISTINE as the day it was pressed...you simply could not find better!...
