Description

This ultra-rare compilation features 20 hits by East Los Angeles mid-sixties rock groups. Entitled "East Side Revue vol.1",it was released in mono on Rampart 3303 in 1966. Recordings were made between 1963-65 and is probably one of the best low rider records of all time. Groups are The Pagents,Premiers,Cannibal and the Headhunters,Alfred and Joe,Mark and the Escorts,Thee Enchantments,The Sisters,Slauson Brothers,Salas Brothers,Romancers,Atlantics,Ambertones,Li'l Ray,Blendells,Heartbreakers,Ronnie and the Pomona Casuals,Frank Olvera,Blue Satins,Jaguars and The Mixtures. Vinyl is on gold wax and grades at a strong vg++ with decent gloss and a few very light scuffs. Overall play is decent too. Unlike volume two of this series it does not come with a poster but has great pics of the artists on the front and back. Cover is a solid vg+ with some mild fraying on the borders and a small split on the top border. Going to place a fifty dollar reserve due to its' rarity.
