Description

EARL MOSELEY – Facing The Sun (1970?) T-Bone-1001 – EX/EX (cover/vinyl)

Super rare and great private press funk-jazz album that includes some monster tracks like “Low Down” and “Fly in the Soup” plus “Facing the Sun,” “Jeanette,” “Blue Serenade,” Like Latin” and “Boppishness.” The band line-up includes Earl on sax, Eugene Ross on guitar, Herman Hawkins on drums, Charles “Spooky” Dancy on piano, James Pyrtle on bass and Luke London on percussion. A highly sought-after collectible. As to the date of release, I’ve seen 1970 listed but it’s not confirmed and Discogs lists this same date.

This is a beautiful copy. The cover is tight and clean with no seam splits. It has only slight wear and a small name written on the front cover in in ball point pen. The vinyl is clean and glossy with only insignificant sleeve scuffs. There’s a small “JE” written in ballpoint pen on one label. I grade this conservatively: EX/EX (cover/vinyl).

This is an original pressing. I do not sell modern reissues
