Description

  • Eagles released their second album "Desperado" in April 1973 on Asylum Records. It contains two hit singles, "Tequila Sunrise" and "Outlaw Man." This is the only album to feature the band members on the front cover. The Old West theme carried over to the back cover where the band (along with Jackson Browne and J.D. Souther) posed as corpses in a reenactment of the Doolin-Dalton Gang capture by a posse which in this case is composed of roadies, managers, and producer Glyn Johns in the white hat.

  • This copy (SD 5068) is from a 1974 repressing and is in excellent condition. The textured cover is easily VG+. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is also VG+. The Matrix / Runout (A Side Label) is ST-AS-732813RI and it was pressed by PRC in Richmond, Indiana and mastered by TML. The dead wax on Side 1 is etched ST-AS-732813-CCC SM1-11 AT and EAGLES SIDE ONE STEREO.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 46 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
