Description

This is an ultra rare Australian promo copy of Duran Duran’s 1982 album Rio.

EMI Australia supplied this version to media reviewers in a special blue protective cardboard sleeve with the band name and album title printed on the front and back, along with the standard EMI Australia sample record sticker on the back of the album cover.  

This version still has the seal intact and has never been opened, so the printed folded insert and vinyl will all be in mint condition.

The blue protective cardboard cover has some marks from the adhesive used to seal the top opening and some folds along all four edges, because it is larger than the album, so in storage it was larger than the adjacent albums.

This collector’s item has been stored in a climate controlled room for over 40 years and because of the blue cardboard protective cover there are no ring marks on the front or back covers.
