Description

Unknown Artists - 70s instrumental stepper - 12inch acetate Dubplate

condition: Mint

Desciption:
UK sound system style heavy weight Horns led instrumental from the late 70s.
To the best of my knowledge this is an unreleased track that has been cut onto acaetate for sound system use. The plate itself is only about 4 years old. I have no idea who the producer/musicians are so is hard to verify whether it ever got a release on vinyl? It features a spoken intro by Lee Perry that has been lifted off a released tune and spliced on the start (due to every sound seeking individual dubplatesThis kind of home remixing was common practise amongst Uk sound sytems of this era).

12inch 33rpm only cut on one side. There is a very short  track  that does not play cut just befor it.

Please listen to the audio clips to judge codition for yourself

This Dubplate was initally listed as "Unknown". An Ebay member kindly emailed me to let me know it is in fact a Jack Ruby production by the Black Disciples band titled "Death Before Dishonour". This tune is available on an LP "Black Foundation" the lee perry spoken intro on the Dubplate does feature on the original recording and has just been shortened for this Dubplate cut. The mix apears to the same or at least very similair to the Lp version (5:10sec).
