Here is a the copy of Heavy Petting you've been waiting for.

This one just about has it all.

The cover is there and intact. All folds out just as it should. There is some wear on the bottom edge and a bit to the sides. The top inch or so is very lightly soiled. (maybe from flipping through records in the box?). Very minor ringwear and a small spot where the "veneer" (for want of a better word) is off. I've put an x beside this spot in the photo.

The news about the vinyl is just as good. It has the Vertigo swirl label on Side A. The vinyl is bright and shiny and has only a few very minor scuffs or marks. There is hardly any spindle-wear. I am not a professional, but I'd visually grade it at VG++ .... Very very conservatively - clearly this record has hardly been played. There are a few pops at the beginning of the the first track on each side (esp. side A, Ballad of the Wasps), probably from a heavy needle drop. It's a bit dusty from being open at the top, but I don't have the equipment to clean it properly so I will leave that to the buyer.

In addition to Tim Booth, Ivan Pawle and Tim Goulding who made up the band, the album features appearances by Dave Mattacks of Fairport Convention and Heather Woods, among others.

I don't really believe in reserve pricing, though it was tempting for this auction. I believe in starting an item at the minimum you are willing to accept for it, so that is what I'm doing. If you want this album in a condition that you are unlikely to see come up very often, it's sitting here waiting for you!

I've been asked where this was pressed and I'm afraid I don't know - I can't find any clue on the cover or the label.

I gather that the German pressing is laminated, and this one is not laminated, so I'm guessing this is a U.K. pressing, though I could not guarantee that.
