Lansdowne Series SCX6368 <> October 1969
The Don Rendell/Ian Carr Quintet – Change-Is LP (orig. UK STEREO Columbia Lansdowne Series SCX 6368—1969)
Recorded: 20 March & 16 April 1969 ~ release date: October 1969. Running time: 47:00 (approx).
On offer here is an original British issue of DON RENDELL/IAN CARR QUINTET's fifth (and final) album on the HIGHLY COLLECTABLE COLUMBIA Lansdowne Series label. First class and exquisite free modal jazz—my personal favourite of all their albums. The closing track “Mirage” is as close to JAZZ NIRVANA as you will ever get!
This LP hardly ever turns up; so do not miss the opportunity to acquire one of the RAREST BRITISH MODERN JAZZ ALBUMS ever released!

GRADING
Cover:
VG+(+) front: beautiful glossy sheen—some handling wear, creasing, first signs of ring-wear, very small nick at opening edge two-thirds down, see digital photo #1; back: matt finish with minor handling wear, some fading & spot peeling along and in from spine, otherwise AOK!
Record:
VG++ visual: beautiful glossy sheen—OUTSTANDING copy, the lightest hairline scuffs only (EX+); audible: just PLAYED LOUD through 100 WATT speakers and it SOUNDS GREAT overall, with some surface noise more noticeable during the quieter passages (VG+ to EX); labels: light spindle wear, tiny amount of pencil writing on both sides, see digital photo #2.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS RECORD WAS RELEASED OVER 40 YEARS AGO!
