zu den angesehensten quartettvereinigungen der sowjetunion zählen das BORODON- und das BEETHOVEN- Quartett . beide ensembels haben sich durch zahllose ur-und erstaufführungen zeitgenössiscer werke besonderes ansehen erworben . das beethoven quartett etwa hat bis auf wenige ausnahmen sämtliche streichquartette von schostakowitsch uraufgeführt .

M       =  mint - as new - neuwertig

NM     = near mint  - visually superb , but not quite mint . maybe spindle marks or very minor signs of wear, rarely tic & tacs may not be excluded .

EX     = excellent  -  more signs of wear . a record that has obviously been played but well cared for . maybe surface marks , little dust , rare hearalbe tics & tacs possible

VG    =   a  record that is showing its age . maybe a light scratch or two / cover deutliche gebrauchsspuren
