Description
Yet another Blue Note find, Jazz fans ! A copy of Dizzy Reece's 1959 album "Star Bright" issued on Blue Note Records. Catalogue number BLP 4023. This is a mono pressing and not a Liberty Records reissue. Contains the 47 West 63rd Street, NYC labels on both sides. RVG and the "Ear" mark appear in the dead wax. Vinyl is G-/G with some light to moderate surface wear. Side two sees the most surface wear than side one. It does not look horrible and far be it from "shot". We played this LP back with an Ortofon MC 10 Super cartridge. It still sounds pretty good, however. Does produce some static, but not as bad as other Blue Notes we have played. Mastered under the care of legendary Rudy Van Gelder. Cover is VG-/VG with some wear to the front and back, but not too bad. Ring wear is light to moderate. Front cover still contains a gloss. Back cover slick is fairly clean except for some ring wear and a few brown spot stains. There is no writing at all. There are no splits. There is an area on the top of the cover that appears to have been "scratched" off. It looks as though a cat may have gotten to it years ago. It does not look too bad, however. Corner dents are pretty minimal. Spine is in pretty good shape and completely readable. Does not come with an original inner sleeve. If there are any other questions regarding the condition or any general inquries, please feel free to e-mail us. Item shipped in a cardboard cover with cardboard pads for extra protection. Also comes in a brand new outer plastic sleeve and a Discwasher inner sleeve. Comes from a non-smoking and pet-free environment. Shipped media mail through the care of the United States Postal Service. Insurance availible upon request. PayPal preferred. International orders at cost. Please e-mail for international postage rates. Payment required within seven days of completion of auction. Thanks for looking !!
