El famoso Apollo Sound fue la orquesta que Roberto Roena originó en 1969, precisamente en el año en que la nave espacial Apollo 11 llegó a la luna. De ahí se origina su nombre.  Tan pronto como en 1970 lanza este primer álbum donde tiene esta famosa canción “ Tú Loco Loco, Pero yo Tranquilo”.  Además tiene los temas “ Soñando con Puerto Rico” y “ Consolación”  Buenísimos temas.
