Dion Born To Be With You 12 inch UK RARE TEST PRESSING Disk No Cvr Phil Spector

One 2 Sided 12” UK White Label Disc 2 Labels

This is part of a selection of acetates, test pressings and records from the collection of a Director of Promotions for Apple Records who  also worked in the executive office of Phil Spector Productions back from the early 1970s.

Most of the acetates in this collection had standard designated acetate labels but there are some from even earlier in the audio review stage of record production that have no labels at all. These unlabled reference acetates have to be listened to on a record player in order to determine what they are.

This is a rare UK full album test pressing

This test pressing was one of Phil Spector’s personal work disks. I would say that this test pressing was used for making decisions about the final mixes of the songs on the album. All of the songs on this test pressing are in the same order as they appeared on the original 1975 LP release. 

 As I said, The former Apple Records employee who owned this test pressing also worked with Phil Spector on a regular basis. I was told by this employee that Phil Spector frequently discarded record production materials, recording equipment and records once he no longer needed those items.  This test pressing came from the same collection of records and acetates as the A&M Studio Label Acetates that I sold months on Ebay that were used in producing the  “The Concert for Bangladesh”three record box on Apple Records featuring George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Billy Preston, Ringo Starr and Leon Russell.

I wish to take time out to say that now in the middle of August of 2020 I am just now coming out of a down time in my  business that occurred around six weeks ago in part due to the riots and violence that wracked Southern California. All I can say is that the difficulties that come with dodging protesting crowds and the military and acquiring needed supplies for myself and others dependant on me caused about twenty five orders to be delayed.
