Blue Note 4176 with New York USA address on both labels; 43 West 61st St. address on the bottom of the back cover. Record has "ear" and " van gelder" inscribed in the dead wax. 3 tracks. Includes Donald Byrd, trumpet; Kenny Drew, piano; Niels- Henning Orsted Pedersen, bass; Art Taylor, drums Small smearing of blue on l label. The performance is high quality modern jazz. Cover: VG Has some significant water damage on about 25% of the cover by the spine side. There is some discoloration on the back cover from the water. The front cover appears to be less effected but there is some light visual damage, {this includes a l cm square paper loss-see scan) There is some softening in the cardboard jacked in the affected area. Also, some edge wear (no splits), some corner wear, and some aging on the back cover. Record: VG+ or better. Visually shows only light wear. This is indicated by some brush-like surface rub marks on both sides of the record. There is some crackling at the beginning revolutions on Side l, less on Side 2.. There are a few clicks, mostly light and infrequent. A few repete 3 or 4 times. In general the surface markings do not effect the sound. No scratches. I have specifically detailed the flaws, but most of the record is free of surface noise. Audibly checked,.
