Deep Purple are considered among the pioneers of hard rock and heavy metal. This concert, considered one of the best Deep Purple Mark IV live recordings, was performed during the Come Taste The Band world tour in March 1976. The influence of bassist Glenn Hughes and guitarist Tommy Bolin can be felt in the funky sound and many groovy jam sessions on this recording. The band improvises freely, and Hughes and David Coverdale compete with each other to showcase their vocal abilities.
