The vinyl on this record is good - graded VG+.  The gatefold cover is excellent with good gloss, construction, corners and edges.  The cover does have a slight warp, and edge wear, but overall a nice package.

Machine Head is the sixth studio album released by English rock band Deep Purple. It was recorded through December 1971 in Montreux, Switzerland, and released in March 1972.

Machine Head is often cited as influential in the development of the heavy metal music genre. It is Deep Purple's most successful recording, topping the charts in several countries following its release. The album reached #1 in the UK, where it stayed for 20 weeks in the top-40. It also reached #7 in the US, remaining on the Billboard 200 for 118 weeks.

Mint / New / Sealed - Never played .  Still in original sealed plastic.

Near Mint- Record itself looks new, appears to have never been played

VVG    (or NM-) Record itself looks new.  May have very superficial imperfections (light smudging, seen under light angle reflection) , not affecting the playing or sound of the record.

VG++ -  The record may show some slight signs of wear, light scuffs, light smudging, very light scratches, that do not affect listening experience. 

VG+   The record will show some slight signs of wear, light scuffs, very light scratches, that may affect the listening experience, especially at low volume times.  There will be no skips. 

VG    Will have obvious signs of wear, lack of original gloss.  Light scratches that will be audible.  Does not skip on my system.

Good - Will probably have scratches or defects that are audible.  Records may be warped.  There could be skipping and /or loud pops.    

All attempts will be made to list other imperfections of the cover such as liquid damage, split seams, tears. missing pieces or other damage in the description.
