A real classic, here in the original pressing. The around 6 minutes long version of "their Brazilian friend Marcos Valle's" (sleeve notes) composition The Crickets sing for Anamaria with its extended "batucada-alike" drum solo impresses everyone who hears it (even people who are not into this kind of music....). But the whole LP is a pleasure to hear regarding "togetherness", subtility and rhythmical tightness.

You can't describe it better than the producer James Brown (who recorded his LP "Getting down to it" with the Dee Felice Trio and Marva Whitney) who writes in the sleeve notes: "During a three month stay in Puerto Rico the trio met and jammed with several Brazilian and Argentine musicians. You might say a musical trade took place- the trio picked up on the inner workings of the Bossa Nova- and in turn, showed our Latin Brothers what American Jazz was all about....They have are first call for most of the really good singers working in the mid-west and East, having appeared regularly with Lou Rawls, Mel Torme, Mark Murphy, Jackie & Roy.... "
