EXTREME JACK WHITE / THIRD MAN RECORDS RARITY ALERT! Up for auction here is the insanely limited edition reverse 7" single of TMR 001 The Dead Weather “Hang You From The Heavens” b/w “Are Friends Electric?” on Jack White’s Third Man Records. This single was made exclusively for the Third Man pop-up store in downtown Los Angeles and could only be purchased at the Bizarro Third Man store which was only open for a few hours on Wednesday, August 26th 2009. Internet reports indicate that only 100 copies of each Bizarro/reverse single were ever made, which promises that this series will be one of the most collectible runs in the Third Man catalog—don’t sleep on your chance to own them all! This single is mint and un-played (Because you can’t play it—there’s a special backwards label that covers the spindle-hole which would have to be broken in order to play them on your record player. That said, this special label is un-tampered with and the single was only removed from its sleeve to be photographed!)
