De nieuwe Volkswagen Transporter LP
Dutch promo only early 80s Baldelli style disco-not-disco cosmic funk
Super rare and KILLER cosmic funk psych record (indeed, somehow hard to categorize), this was only ever distributed among Volkswagen dealers in the Netherlands.
Most likely the more experimental tracks on this LP were not meant for your average Volkswagen dealer to like, the musicians go all-out spacy, particularly on one track which sounds like it comes straight from a new wave punk/funk party in Manhattan somewhere around 1980.
Needless to say, this copy was hardly played, previous owner must have placed it towards the back of his record collection.
This record doesn't turn up often at all, most Dutch record sellers haven't ever seen a copy. Previous copies on Ebay have sold for well over 200 U$, so grab this now at a reduced price!
The tracks go unnamed, and there is no release date / label info, probably released around 1980. Just check out the snippets here, to see what all the buzz is about!

Grading:
Vinyl: VG+ (plays well throughout up to VG++, very mild static heard here & there, try cleaning)
Sleeve: VG+ (looks great)
