Description

Earl Slick/David Bowie - Isn't it evening - 7" red and 7" turquoise vinyl - this auction is for both records.
Earl played lead guitar on a few Bowie albums when Mick Ronson left; one of those was Station to Station. Isn’t It Evening appears on Earl Slick's debut album, Zig Zag.
I think the story goes that Bowie was passing by and casually offered to contribute lyrics. It's wonderful to have it released as a single this way. Apart from the Earl Slick album, I don’t think the song is released in physical format anywhere else – just this red / blue limited 7” record. As it’s so singular, it’s kind of a ‘must-have’ for any fan and I’m surprised by the low number of pressings. 400 x red and 600 x blue.
The record is produced well, sounds and looks great – made to look ‘old-fashioned’ with a traditional record label and aged sleeve.
