Could there be a better find for the hard core fan of Ziggy Stardust? I would guess yes but you do have to give this item at least five stars and a second look. From 1974 we have for a no reserve auction a never played, promotional copy of the RCA/Mainman Records release of David Bowie’s “Diamond Dogs”, catalog # CPI-0576. I would consider this a five star find for the following reasons. No 1: The disc has never been played and has a high glossy surface, perfect RCA orange colored labels and retains its original inner white paper sleeve. No 2: Gate fold jacket retains it original factory installed shrink wrap, has perfect corners, no cut through or notations and the rare RCA only dye stamped impression “Not For Sale Promotion Use Only”. No 3: As an original dated promotional copy you can be assured it is a first pressing. No 4: Because the jacket has retained its shrink, there is no ring wear front or back. No 5: Very few available in this as new condition. Selections: Future Legend, Diamond dogs, Sweet Thing, Candidate, Sweet Thing, Rebel Rebel, Rock N Roll, We Are The Dead, 1984, Big Brother and Chant Of The Ever Circling Skeletal Family.
