Description
Up for auction is the long out-of-print vinyl LP version of the Dave Matthews Band's "Before These Crowded Streets." This is the only Dave Matthews LP ever to be issued on vinyl. Includes songs such as "Don't Drink the Water," "Stay (Wasting Time)," and "Crush." Not an easy one to find by any stretch of the imagination.
Now for the condition. Please read this section carefully, as this is a used record, and I want you to know exactly what you’re bidding on:
--The cover is in good condition with some minor creasing, a tear in the spine near the bottom left (see pic), and an ink pen squiggle on the back (blue on a blue background, fortunately!)
--The two records are in good condition overall, as well. All four sides have scuffing and light scratching, and they all play with some surface noise/crackling, which is noticeable in the quieter parts, but largely drowned out by the loudness of the music. Side D, for instance (the side that begins with “Crush”), starts off quite crackly during the soft-ish intro, but as soon as Dave M. starts singing and the volume kicks in, the music overwhelms, and the surface noise is reduced to a footnote. In short, these records are not mint, but they are still very enjoyable to listen to, I think. If you have any questions as to the degree of surface noise during any particular song, feel free to ask; I’ll play it and give you a more detailed description.
--The inner sleeve for disc one is missing; I have replaced it with a plain white sleeve. The other inner sleeve is in good condition, with a little nick in the bottom left (smaller than the one on the cover).
NOTE: This record will be well-packaged, in a cardboard record mailer, but I still HIGHLY recommend that you INSURE this record, given its rarity.
