Dave Clark Five - Session With and Catch Us If You Can - 2 LPs Good condition

Selling-up my extensive record collection. Lots of interesting LPs in the collection - do have a look at my other items, and there are new listings every week. I may have obscure things that you didn't even know you wanted!

Here's a couple of proper old Dave Clark Five albums from the Sixties, in very enjoyable condition, audio-wise.

Session With The Dave Clark Five - UK First Issue, 1964 - mono.

Cover - is front-laminated with flipbacks. A few creases to the lamination on the front, short creases at the edges. Spine is good, with a couple of cracks / creases in it. Flip-backs have some creases and small damage, but still firmly attached. Back discoloured due to age and handling.

Record - I've play-tested side one of this - it plays very well indeed, loud and clear without background noise. Visual inspection shows-up imperfections, which won't be bothersome when playing it. On side one, I see a light fingernail mark on track 3, and another on track 5. There's a tiny impact on track 6, and some scratches along the grooves - due to cueing onto the record with a heavy cartridge. A few more small damages - not scratched-all-over, and nothing heavy. On side two, there are some light scratches, and more of those scratches along the grooves. Again, nothing nasty.

Catch Us If You Can -  UK First Issue, 1965, mono

Cover - is front-laminated with flipbacks. Front is very nice, with light ring-wear and a couple of scallop creases, light wear along the opening. Spine is excellent. Back is very good, flipbacks very good, light staining due to handling, big light crease at bottom left. Nice original EMI inner sleeve.

Record - Side one has a scratch on track 1, and there are some scuffs (with light scratches in). There's a light scratch on track 2, and a fingernail mark on track 5. On side two, there's a fingernail mark starting at end of track 1 and going across track 2. There's another of those, on track 5 going into track 6. There's a small impact on track 5, and another fingernail mark on track 2. There are NOT scuffs like I saw on side one. I have play-tested side one, it plays very well, loud and clear, with background crackling only in quiet moments - track 4 is quite a quiet song.

You will also find in the package, a very beat-up copy of another DC5 album, with no cover, which will act as stiffening.

I have been collecting records for 50 years (when finances allowed!), and now it's time to sell-up. I bought them mostly around local shops (second-hand), but sometimes from e-bay, and sometimes new, for my favourite bands.

When I'm checking for damage on records, I look at them carefully with my reading glasses on, in good daylight. This method detects any bits of damage that will affect what you hear when listening to it - and lots that are not audible. Using a spotlight or direct sunlight shows more surfacey marks sometimes, but I don't do that - records are for listening to, not trying to see your face in.

I do my best for my customers, on postal costs. You can send at least six LPs for the Post Office's £3.00 "small parcel" deal. Do feel free to pass on this information to any sellers who charge an extra pound (or whatever) per additional record - that's going straight into their pockets.

I don't mail things personally, to countries outside the UK - ( I mean it, don't ask) - but I am happy to use E-Bay UK's Global Shipping Program, for sending things abroad. Under this scheme, I send the parcel to an e-bay depot in UK, and they forward it to the overseas buyer.

They have a tracked courier service, for the journey from their UK depot, to the buyer.

This means that I can ONLY accept payments through e-bay (Pay Now button), and I can't send invoices.

E-Bay UK tells me, they do NOT do combined postage in the Global Shipping Programme. Charges to the customer for delivery are whatever you're told they are - if you don't want to pay the postal / courier charges, then do not bid.

International buyers should be able to see a postage cost to their country, you may have to input your location, if your country is included in the scheme.

If your country is not mentioned, please do not bid.

I WILL DEFINITELY NOT post to countries that are not included in the above lists, and I don't send to China.
