ARTIST: Dannie Richmond's In Crowd
LABEL: Impulse A-98 (1965 Stereo)
TITLE: In Jazz For the Culture Set
CONDITION:
Sleeve: The front & back covers are gorgeous and Mint- w/ high original gloss. All seams are sharp & intact w/ a couple of tiny corner dings and a little light wear at the bottom corners. Also has a tiny hole punch
Record: Gorgeous! Looks & plays Mint- except it has a tiny pressing bubble on the first track on both sides. It causes four extremely light background ticks on Side A and pretty much the same on Side B except one tick is just a little louder. / VPI cleaned / By the spindle hole it looks like this LP may have never been played. Plays with great Rudy Van Gelder sound presence!
COMMENTS: Beautiful original 1965 Impulse copy of this hard to find LP from long time Mingus drummer Dannie Richmond. Comes in heavy gatefold sleeve. Features great soloists in guitarist Jimmy Raney and pianist Jaki Byard. "Van Gelder" stamped in dead wax
