Enigma/Danny 7"
(Sordide Sentimental -- SS 45005)

The usual exquisite Sordide Sentimental release -- not only
a limited-editon 7" by a renowned band (though in this instance,
I suppose Durutti Column=Vini Reilly, pretty much), but also art-museum-
quality packaging ... in this case, a numbered, glossy magazine-style folder
and a pair of one-sheet "advertissements" featuring a somewhat impressionistic 
essay by label head Jean-Pierre Turmel interpreting a painting by John Ruskin.
The French original is printed on glossy stock, with the painting reproduced on back,
while Paul Buck's English translation appears on a second, plain-paper sheet.
All of the above comes in a plastic sleeve featuring the Sordide Sentimental logo.

 I just gave the record a spin on my trusty Pioneer PL-516 and heard 
a couple of pops and some light crackling -- this is, after all, vintage vinyl
rather than a soulless CD (not that I haven't managed to acquire several thousand
of the latter myself over the last 16 years or so, now that I think about it).

Shipping for this record is what I normally charge for a 12", rather than a 7", because
a heavier 12" mailer will be required.
