DUKE JORDAN "Flight To Jordan" Blue Note 4046, RVG, DG, P, LAM, Mono Vinyl

This is the first edition, 1960, Deep Groove, "RVG" stamped, Laminated Cover, "P" pressing of DUKE JORDAN's "Flight To Jordan" n the "47 West 63rd" labels of Blue Note BLP 4046. Musicians include Duke Jordan, Dizzy Reece, Stanley Turrentine, Reggie Workman, Art Taylor.

VINYL plays with low to medium level surface noise (i.e, static, crackle, ??,????,relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with pops and ticks. Ensemble sections are very dynamic  and strong, clear, clean and powerful. No distortion. No locked grooves. No skips. Good gloss. Dozen or so hairline marks, none feelable. Side 2 has pressing haze which doesn't interfere with music. As with all original Blue Note pressings, this beautifully recorded and pressed first pressing largely overcomes surface defects. The Deep Groove "47 West 63rd" labels are clean with some fading and spindle marks under direct light. See photos.

ORIGINAL LAMINATED COVER is in good condition, top and bottom seam taped. Laminate peeling, corners very worn. Large sticker on front of cover. "BLUE NOTE RECORDS, INC., 47 West 61st St., New York 23" back jacket shows minor wear, "KJAZ" stamp, pen writing. See photos.

This LP was play tested. RECORD CLEANED ON VPI 16.5 VINYL CLEANER.
