Description
DRONGOS FOR EUROPE very first release, the incredibly RARE vinyl 7" pressing of Adverse Chorus EP, on the band's own DFE/ Kite label, serial number DFE001, from 1981.
Side A: Peace/ Black Cross
Side B: Hope + Glory/ Destruction (Live)
features the classic line-up of Tom (Voice), Steve (Guitar), Ezz (Bass) and Gebs (Drums), this is a contemporary release to some of the earliest GBH stuff, also from Birmingham, UK. I have only ever seen other copies of this when it was bought, the week it was released, 26 years ago almost!
The sleeve is handmade by the band, using photocopied graphics on yellow paper, strictly adhering to the do-it-yourself punk ethic. This is not KBD or a bootleg, this rubber-stamped single number 0665 of the original very limited pressing and as such must be one of the rarest and most sought-after releases from the 1981 Apocalypse Now/ Riot City wave of British street punk, the band having reformed several years ago and now touring regularly with GBH et al and recording new material like the albums Barcode Generation and Hotline to Hades - check them out live and on cd!!!!
Vinyl has barely been played and is mint in appearance.
