DREAM 'Get Dreamy' LP (Germany, Shadoks, Catalogue #151) Brand new/unplayed copy of limited Shadoks label LP edition (edition of 600 numbered copies) of 1967 psych rock album from Norway band Dream. 600 numbered copies, heavy sleeve, 180 gram pressing, poster/insert.

'Dream's Get Dreamy is perhaps the most fantastic and unique underground album from Scandinavia. Recorded in 1967 it was the first LP by legendary guitarist Terje Rypdal. A year later Terje recorded his first solo album also for Polydor. The album Get Dreamy has great original songs full of fuzz guitar, swirling Hammond organ, sound effects and strong vocals. The musicians influences could be Cream and Jimi Hendrix with the lyrical touch of Procol Harum. All songs very well produced and recorded in Stockholm. Dream started straight away with a full album which was not common in the musical world of 1967. Most bands produced singles, first. With a lot of enthusiastic help from Norway, including Terje Rypdal, plus the cooperation of many photographers, we are happy to put this album out with a big poster insert including a great band story and many, many unseen photos.'
'Aware of the winds of change blowing through 1967, Christian Reim and Marius Stormoen quit the r&b group Public Enemies and formed the short-lived Dream with Terje Rypdal (ex-Vanguards) and Tom Karlsen (ex-Saphires - a soul-beat group). Get Dreamy (1967) is still a classic and one of the most visionary Scandanavian albums of 1967. Among the charming white-eyed soul-beat crossovers were stunning improvisations going as far as any 'pop' musicians dared at the time. Sadly, the group suffered a premature death in 1968 when the members failed to agree on their future direction.
