Description

(Various Artists) Corky Carroll & Friends: "Laid Back" 1972?, USA/Rural Records RR.001. Disc is M-, cover EX with just a bit of starting wear. Very rare local southern California LP put together by Dennis Dragon and featuring a lot of his friends and local talent. Unlike A Sea For Yourself, this LP is mostly acoustic. Al Oakie does a raw blues number on electric guitar and harp, and the band Hana plug in to do a couple of very mellow soft rock tracks, but 75% of this album could just as easily have been issued on Vanguard or Takoma. Additional performers include Raymond Patterson, David Lyons, Liane Hirschl, Kathy Dragon, plus Farm members Dennis Dragon, Phil Pritchard and Denny Aaberg. If you collect folk guitar music, 80% of this LP will flip your switch. I pack/ship once a week, usually on Friday. I use sturdy cardboard boxes designed for shipping records, and I remove the disc from the cover to prevent seam splits during shipment.
