RELEASED ON BLUE AND BLACK COLUMBIA LABEL IN 1965 - CATALOGUE NO. SX 6001 MONO
KT TAX CODE
LAMINATED (FRONT) COVER WITH FLIP BACKS (GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE LTD) IS FREE FROM RIPS, TEARS, STICKERS AND GRAFFITTI. A LITTLE AGE BROWNING TO UNLAMINATED BACK, BUT NOTHING SERIOUS. ORIGINAL EMITEX POLY-LINED INNER SLEEVE. OVERALL THE PACKAGING IS GRADED AS EXCELLENT.
THE VINYL RETAINS A NICE DEEP SHINE. THERE ARE SOME LIGHT MARKS TO BOTH SIDES. A MORE PRONOUNCED SCRATCH ON SIDE 2 ACROSS THE WHOLE OF TRACK 6 (ONE MORNING IN MAY). THIS SOUNDS AS A REPETITIVE CLICK THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE OF THE SONG.
BOTH SIDES PLAY THROUGH WITHOUT ANY SKIPS/STICKING. SIDE 1 PLAYS BETTER THAN SIDE 2. SIDE 1 GRADED VG/VG+. SIDE 2 HAS THE SCRATCH PROBLEM WITH TRACK 6. THERE IS ALSO A LIGHT REPETITIVE TICK THROUGHOUT A SUBSTANTIAL PART OF SIDE 2.
HAVING SAID THE ABOVE, THIS IS A MOST ENJOYABLE LISTEN - MUSICALLY THIS IS AN AMAZING ALBUM AND GIVEN ITS RARITY IS STILL HIGHLY COLLECTABLE.
LABELS ARE IN VERY NICE CONDITION AND ARE GRADED EX.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A NEAR MINT COPY OF THIS IMPOSSIBLY RARE ALBUM THEN THIS ONE'S NOT FOR YOU. HOWEVER, DON'T LET THAT PUT THE REST OF YOU OFF - THIS IS STILL HIGHLY DESIRABLE.
I am a vinyl head who trades in vinyl in order to expand my collection. I try to offer the best service possible and I'm proud of the excellent feedback I've received. Whilst I try very hard to grade my items accurately using the RRPG system, I accept that there will be times when others feel I've got it wrong. I always offer a "no quibble" refund for anyone who is unhappy with the item they've received and I won't rip you off with excessive postage rates - I don't look to make a profit on postage. You can therefore bid with confidence.
Records are always securely packaged so that they arrive in exactly the same condition as they left me. Albums are removed from their outer sleeves to avoid splitting in transit and the item will be sent in a new polythene outer cover. I look at vinyl trading as simply recycling (this is my bit to help save the planet!) and my packaging will reflect that. I re-use heavyweight cardboard packaging and you will see that great care is taken to ensure that your item arrives safely.
Grading Explained
Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Occasionally I may offer a record that is described as near mint (NM) in those cases the grading speaks for itself.
I will not normally offer vinyl that falls below a very good (VG) grading, unless the item is particularly rare. In those instances the item will be fully described
