Description

Donna Loren "Sings songs from Beach Blanket Bingo" . New Zealand Capitol 1963 Mono original. As Rare as hen's teeth. NO RESERVE.

Ultra Rare New Zealand mono pressing of this highly sought-after soundtrack by Donna Loren. Donna was a teenage star who cut hit records, made movies, and who later went on to form her own highly successful fashion clothing business (Yes, THAT Donna Loren!). This NZ pressing features the same design as the US orignal, but is unique in taht it has a UK style "flipback sleeve" with front pasted slick. 

This was the soundtrack to Beach Blanket Bingo (the last in a series of beachparty/teenage films), starring Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello, which also featured Donna herself, along with Don Rickles, Linda Evans, and Paul Lynde. Donna was a fixture in these Beach Party films, mostly for her singing and good looks! Here she sings all the hits of the film.

DISC: EX. The vinyl here is in an overall EXCELLENT grade, perhaps a shade under to be conservative, just a couple of small scuffs and tiny marks on an otherwise Ex glossy disc retaining it's original shine.It plays and sounds great!

 

SLEEVE: EX. The flipback sleeve has no seam splits or writing, no tears, dings, writing, stickers or, sticker marks. Labels are crisp & bright, and only slight evidence of very light spindles evident. 

 

A very rare international release.
