Description

Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:  TITLE & ARTIST: "Hot Cha Cha" - performed by Don Swan and His Orchestra on the Liberty Records label (LRP 3114), in beautiful original "Transistorized" monaural sound, issue date for this recording was 1959. CONDITION: JACKET - VG+(Jacket with its spectacular cover photo is in pretty bad shape with splits top and bottom and age wear overall, but it is a Promotional copy that is unmarked - please see actual album in photos); VINYL - VG++(Vinyl is glowing, beautiful, and has several light scuff marks on the pure deep groove Promo-quality vinyl - visually graded under special daylight balanced spotlight).  SPECIAL FEATURES: Fantastic collection of vintage beautifully syncopated cha cha interpretations by the great and underappreciated Don Swan; front cover is a knockout; back cover is filled with information of the useful and interesting variety; being a promo back in the '50s meant one of the earliest and cleanest copies, and this one certainly qualifies; if you love latin music of any kind, please don't miss this one. TRACKS: Ain't She Sweet, Third Man Theme, I Found a Million Dollar Baby, Ain't We Got Fun, I Can't Believe That You're In Love With Me, If I Could Dream, Minka, Dream a Little Dream, Butterfly, Stardust, Where's the Melody, and Laura. Thanks! If you have further questions about condition or content, please don't hesitate to ask. You may bid with unworried confidence. Our sales history is your assurance of absolute integrity. Thank you and good luck. OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
