Description
Don Rendell & Ian Carr Quintet, 1969 UK LP 'LIVE' on EMI Columbia SX 6313 (mono). Sorry for any photo flash on the pics.
Laminated sleeve front, slightly grubby plain back with 3 flips. Sharp corners, no tears, rips or writing. It shows ringwear and bottom flip fold has a small mark (see photo) on the laminate. I rate the sleeve 7/10 for condition.
The vinyl is shiny and flat with the Columbia black/silver label. The spindle holes show very, very little play but the disc itself has some light surface marks. I believe this is a classic example of 'paper scuff' as the original EMI inner paper sleeve has a smooth glossy outer but rougher matt inner - unfortunately this was common practice but no less frustrating. I've put the disc in a poly lined sleeve and included the original for interest or for dart practice. I rate the vinyl 7/10 or EXC- in grading terminology.
I try to be brutually honest in my grading for what is essentially a subjective exercise. I've been there myself, having bought many a NM described record which arrives as VG because idiots have lost touch with reality. That's when the grief begins...........
