Hahahaha! Here is one of the absolute most-desired indiepop records of all time, the self-released, extremely limited, very out-of-print double LP "Demonstration Tapes" from the all-girl indiepop powerhouse Dolly Mixture. Only 2000 were pressed and self-released on their Dead Good Dolly Platters label. As a nod to The Beatles' white album, it comes in a plain white sleeve,and is hand-numbered (as well as signed by all the band members!). It has handwritten contact and catalog info on the back, and comes with a nice Xerox insert AND, for some reason, a promotional one-sheet for the band Coming Up Roses. This double-LP is pure indiepop perfection, featuring recordings from 1979-1983, and, with their perfect combination of punk and new wave and Shagri-Las style girl pop, this band was hugely influential on legions of others. I personally LOVE the entire first disc, full of fast new wavey tracks with irreverent lyrics, but the second record is also great... Basically, you need this. The cover is VG+ with some shelf & edge wear and general aging, as if it has been sitting at the back of a record store's shelf for the past 25+ years. Both discs are VG++, with a light scratch on side 2 that does not affect play.
