Demon Records regenerates the surviving audio of The Wheel In Space, a beloved 1968 Doctor Who adventure for new and old Whovians. In this exquisitely soundtracked episode - noted for its buck-breaking, spooky sound - Patrick Troughton's Doctor and Jamie land on the Wheel space station and stumble into a Cyberman infiltration, complete with scuttling Cybermats and a new companion, Zoe Herriot. Written by David Whitaker from a Kit Pedler outline and directed by Tristan de Vere Cole, only two of the six televised episodes remain on film, leaving these restored sound recordings the fullest route back into the story's cold-void tension and BBC Radiophonic Workshop cues. The complete production arrives as a triple LP set, housed in a sleeve styled like a vintage broadcast listing.
