Description
MINT AND STILL IN SHRINKWRAP, COMPLETE WITH STICKER AND BOTH INSERTS, this is the ULTRA-RARE FIRST BATCH OF THE SECOND PRESSING (1000 made) of the "Something better change" LP released in 1980 on Friends Records, the FIRST LP by Vancouver's finest punk rockers D.O.A.! This one IS OPENED BUT STILL IN SHRINKWRAP AND HAS THE ULTRA-RARE D.O.A. STICKER STILL AFFIXED TO THE SHRINKWRAP AS WELL AS BOTH INSERTS, THE BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOS INSERT AND THE BLACK AND YELLOW LYRIC INSERT (SEE PICTURE). Only 3 000 were pressed and they get even harder to find as years go by! Due to pressing problems at the IRC plant in Vancouverm there were numerous masters made. The first pressing was of 1 000 copies which have the following message in the dead wax: "Who gives a F**in' Sh**!!!" and "This is your Last Warning!!!" and the following number: "3736 RE 1". Subsequent pressings are numbered sequentially after RE 1, and may or may have not have the above messages. THIS IS ONE OF THE THIRD PRESSING SINCE IT HAS 3736 RE 3 IN THE DEAD WAX. ALSO, THE STICKER WAS ONLY AFFIXED TO THE FIRST PRESSING AND FIRST 200 RECORDS OR SO OF THE SECOND AND THIRD PRESSINGS! The sound on that second pressing your bidding on, especially the drums, is better than on the first since the sound was kinda compressed on the first pressing. Along with the Subhumans, D.O.A. were, and are still, Canada's most powerful punk band! On this album, D.O.A. was: Joey S**thead - Guitar & Vocals, Randy Rampage (also of Canadian speed-metallers Annhilator!) - Bass, Chuck Biscuits (also of Samhain, Black Flag, Social Distortion, Danzig, Circle Jerks and so many others!)- Drums, Dave Gregg - Guitar and Keyboard. Simon Wilde played bass on Woke up Screaming, The Prisoner , Rich Bitch and World War III. This album was released on the legendary Vancouver Label Friends Records, Friends Records, which was VERY D.I.Y. cause they re-used surplus record jackets they obtained from other record labels. They printed over the original jackets with black ink, turned them inside out and pasted their covers on the other side. It was so neatly done, most people didn’t knew that!Track Listing: 1. New Age 2. The Enemy 3. 2+2 4. Get out of my life 5. Woke up screaming 6. Last Night 7. Thirteen 8. Great White Hope 9. The Prisoner 10. Rich Bitch 11. Take a Chance 12. Watcha Gonna do ? 13. World War 3 Record, Jacket and BOTH INSERTS in MINT STILL IN SHRINKWRAP with the RARE D.O.A. STICKER AFFIXED TO IT ALSO IN MINT CONDITION. However, I have to note that there is a small, barely noticeable1/4 inch tear on the bottom left side of back cover (SEE PICTURE). Winning bidder to pay shipping. Pay by money order, PayPal or well concealed cash (send at your own risks) Please take a look at my other auctions :) Please Note that I sell to ANYBODY willing to pay (no country-discrimination here!) and I won't charge an arm and a leg for shipping. You'll pay exact shipping charges. Me too, I hate those people who ask more money for «handling» or «packing» or «their time». I do the work by myself and with a smile and I recycle envelopes and boxes and use brown bags for packing and I pack well :) I treat my customers the way I like to be treated!
