Extremely rare 1st pressing of David Bowie’s first album.

Mono pressing in nice condition throughout (see below)

I am primarily a classical record dealer. My job of work is selling records – both online and at record fairs. I tend to grade records conservatively as classical collectors are often more fastidious than rock and pop collectors.

I try not to use hyperbole to sell records, I hope that images, accurate grading and my reputation do that for me. I have 100% positive feedback and am proud to say that, in my years of selling records on eBay I have never received negative or neutral feedback.

GRADING

SLEEVE: EX

The single, front laminated sleeve is very nice and clean. There are a couple of laminate wrinkles to the front and a small patch of laminate separation to the front bottom left hand corner. The rear of the sleeve is nice and clean with just a little uniform yellowing. The edges are sharp. There are a couple of wrinkles to the spine, but all the text is fully legible.

RECORD: VG+

The record shows some light surface marks / scuffs. There are no feelable scratches or marks. The labels are beautifully clean. I have listened to the record in full. It sounds fantastic throughout. Although there is some quiet, intermittent surface noise this is not too overpowering. There are no loud pops or clicks and no repetitive ticks. There is no evidence of groove wear.

The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine’s system:

Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

Records are always removed from sleeves.
