DJ Whiz Kid ..Go Whiz Kid b/w.. Bust That Beat from 1986 on a Hub-Servall Record Company Test pressing with a CRIMINAL RECORDS STAMP!! I CANT EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE HOW RARE THIS RECORD IS!!!! First off this was released as a test pressing on this Hub-Servall/ Criminal Records vinyl.................. Criminal Records was the label of ARTHUR BAKER , who had Previously worked at TOMMY BOY RECORDS and had produced the classic BAMBAATAA and SOUL SONIC FORCE monster PLANET ROCK.. Baker left Tommy Boy and started his own label CRIMINAL RECORDS. If you search the Criminal records catalog you will find a missing # that being CRIM-0003, well that is what is etched here along with HERBIE JR and a F/W stamp!! .. I have no idea why this wasnt released as both tracks are excellent OLD SCHOOL with some good electro influence and beats... WHIZ KID cuts it up and throws in various breakbeats.. the first track im calling it GO WHIZ KID because it has a label sticker that says that and also has that in the hook , is mostly WHIZ KID cutting up breakbeats and has some electro beats,,,,, the b side track im calling BUST THAT BEAT because that is the hook. BUST THAT BEAT has rapping from EVERLOVING KID DUST , who also appeared on the BAMBAATAA track FUNK YOU realesed on TOMMY BOY a year early , this even makes the BAKER , TOMMY BOY, BAMBAATAA , EVERLOVING KID DUST connection more firm. Anyway on BUST THAT BEAT Whiz Kid cuts it up as EVERLOVING KID DUST gives him props as most MC's did to their DJ's back in the day.. I have no idea how many of these were pressed , but id say there were not many , or one would have popped up, I bought it years ago , but put it away since I didnt know the tracks. This is a definate original pressing with the HERBIE JR and the F/W etchings.... This was NEVER COMMERCIALLY RELEASED ANYWHERE, NOT EVEN AS A PROMO!! .The label is a white label Hub-Servall , has a Criminal records Stamp and a Go Whiz Kid label, also there are three stamps that appear to be maybe a record station stamp, but its faded. Vinyl is VG+++ or many would call it a NRMT MINUS. More importantly it contains a VOCAL and INSTR of both tracks!! My reserve is High , but only because I know how rare this record is!!! sory but i dont have any mp3 samples available.... If anyone has any information on this record , please email me .....
