The original landed in 96 and this Deep Jungle update landed in 24. Now in 26, this reissue is just as vital if you've not already copped it. The originals are very Blue Note - as in Hoxton, not New York, although we all know who the Miles in the title refers to - in their sense of space and patience. Not the techstep twists that he came with shortly after (and really had a very influential contribution to the sound) but that moody space jazz that a lot of producers were playing with such as Adam F, Blu Mar Ten and Alex Reece. For added measure, Trace and Kid Drama's Nine Windows alias give the originals remixes, adding an extra layer of atmosphere, depth and a good 30 odd years of times. Miles ahead of the game...
