Description

DINO VALENTI:Don't Let It Down/Birdses (Elektra/196)

Earliest recording by S.F. hippie legend and author of the classic Get Together; this is long before his association with Quicksilver Messenger Service. Don't is an early 60s swingin' rocker with female harmonies and an amplified harpsichord taking the instrumental lead. Birdses (also with harpsichord) is a folky number very much like the songs on his solo LP several years later.
This is a white label promo copy. I don't believe this got past the promotional stage, and consequently is quite rare.
The record looks and plays Ex (couple of light scuff marks; couple of spots of brief crackling near beginning of side 2).
