ABOUT ME

As you can see I'm very much new to ebay. I will be starting off with a nice classical collection. There will be some really rare titles coming up within the next month, so please bookmark and be sure to check my auctions again. Thanks!

I have been selling records for more than 20 years on a local basis. I am a collector myself and will do my best to give you the service that I'd want for myself: Accurate grading & descriptions + secure packing.

Contact me if you have any questions. Please check my other auctions here.

Bidders with less than ten feedback points will have their bids cancelled if they don't contact me first and get an Ok!

GRADING

My grades are:

M
M-
VG++
VG+
VG
VG-
G
F

My highest grade is reserved for sealed records or guaranteed unplayed stock only. So M- will play and look as new. My most frequent grade is the VG++. VG++ will guarantee you a really fine record. Also I try to note all flaws in my item description!!!!! What you read is what you get. No hidden faults. Therefore please also check the photos, it may sound worse than it looks.

Any visible marks will be checked to see if audible. If record looks as if unplayed I do not always playcheck them, I just don't have the time. If record is playchecked it's stated in the item description. More expensive records will most probably be playchecked though. Any questions about this? Ask me!

Mistakes with grading will no doubt occur at some point. I try to be as accurate as possible but I'm only human (unfortunately!). Be sure to contact me if anything's wrong. Of course I will accept returns if you disagree with my grading and will give money back when record is returned to me in the same shape as it was when it left me.

CONDITION

Record:
First let me tell you that I very much doubt that there can be any really silent copies of this around, because this set, as I’ve understood it, was not equipped with innersleeves at all. This was a common practice, that probably lived on from the days of the 78's. The records are simply put down in the top-opening sleeve, very much like early EP's. That said, these very heavy records looks fine. They do have quite a few marks and superficial lines from not being stored in proper innersleeves & play with background noise and some soft clicks but is very much enjoyable to say the least.
I listened them through and here’s what I heard, please remember that these are old mono-records from the early era of vinyl recordings:
Side 1: No ticks, just some background noise. Plays really good.
Side 2: A few isolated clicks and a little more crackling than Side 1.
Side 3: Plays really good. Background noise of course but I could hear no ticks.
Side 4: Has about 10 ticks and a few of these are repeated ones. Otherwise it plays with a little more background noise.
A good machine-cleaning will better the sound quality of course. I do not have a professional cleaning machine and therefore leave the cleaning to the buyer. But as they are now, the overall grade would be VG+.

Cover:
The cover have seen better days, a small part in the lower right corner of the front is missing. Also, the blue tape is a bit loose in some places. This is however repairable, but I'll leave that to the buyer to take care of. Also some light edgewear. VG+.
Labels have the tulip rim and original "Alle rechte" at 1-2 O'Clock (this is before the "Alle hersteller" text). 100% original first labels, GY1. All four labels have NO writing, NO tears but do have some spindle marks

Details:
Dead wax dates this pressing , it says "29.12.51". This date appears on both records, on all four sides. I've seen one copy that had this date on one of the records and the common date "26.2.52" on the other. This copy that I have for sale has both records dated "29.12.51"! Those "26.2.52" pressings are also rare pressings of course, but this is an even earlier pressing.

The actual recording of these pieces was made only 24 days earlier, the 5 december 1951. So this is probably the very earliest pressing of this classic recording.

Additional photos will be supplied upon request. Please note that I’ll have to insist on registered mail on this one, to many bidders around that can not be trusted. No partial refunds, if you’re dissatisfied with my grading (not likely) the whole sum will be repaid when the record is safely returned to me!

So now I'm adding some really heavy titles. Insured packages is a must for our mutual safety of course. Also: Bid with confidence, I'm very careful with my grading. Full money back guarantee if not satisfied, you can read about it in my return policy.

SHIPPING

First of all, PLEASE ignore any other prices regarding shipping costs except what is stated right below in this column.

I use strong new boxes for shipping. I always remove the record from the sleeve and seal them both in a plastic sleeve. I also add extra cardboard inside the package to protect the record.

Yes, I will wait for you to add extra titles for combined shipping. Ask me first though! If your combined winnings exceed 100 GBP I must insist on registered mail, which means an extra cost but also the possibility of tracking your package. This is because I need to guard myself against the (few) imposters that bid on records and then claim they have not received the package. I charge actual shipping costs, what the Swedish post charges me. I can't charge you less! Airmail only, it's not possible to send surface mail from Sweden. The prices you can check by consulting the Swedish Postal Service.

Shipping costs within Europe:

1 LP: 12 USD (up to 0,5 kg)
2-3 LP's: 21 USD (up to 1 kg)
4-7 LP's: 33 USD (up to 2 kg)

Shipping costs outside Europe:

1 LP: 13 USD (up to 0,5 kg)
2-3 LP's: 25 USD (up to 1 kg)
4-7 LP's: 39 USD (up to 2 kg)

Please note: These prices may vary a little but are correct for your average weight record. Boxed sets differ somewhat of course. Also older records mostly of the fifties and/or with heavy covers. I can't be responsible if your package gets lost in the mail, sorry! It has never happened to me but you never know. For your safety I strongly urge you to choose registered mail. NOTE: Italian and french bidders will have to pay for registered mail, too many packages seem to get "lost" there, sorry! If you feel that this is unfair, then contact me and maybe we'll come to a solution.

PAYMENT

Please wait for my invoice. Payment is expected within 7 days after you receive invoice. Exceptions can be made but please contact me about this before you bid. Paypal for buyers outside of Europe. Iban-transfer or paypal for Europe. Bank transfer for Swedish customers.
