On offer here is a VERY rare Double LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Derek & The Dominos called "Layla & Other Assorted Love Songs" and is an ORIGINAL 1970 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Polydor label!!!!  THIS DOUBLE LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  IT IS ONE OF THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER LPs ON THE POLYDOR LABEL - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  BACK IN 1970 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!!  AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE, AND IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!!  THIS DOUBLE LP IS MADE EVEN RARER STILL - AS IT IS THE 'EARLIEST 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE - AND COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TO ALL LATER PRESSINGS!!!!  AND THIS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS DOUBLE LP!!!!  AND WHAT MOST PEOPLE DONT REALISE - IS THAT THIS DOUBLE LP SOLD ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLY ON RELEASE IN NOVEMBER 1970!!!!  NO ONE HAD A CLUE WHO 'DEREK AND DOMINOS' EVEN WERE, AND THE DOUBLE LP COMPLETELY FLOPPED GETTING NOWHERE NEAR THE UK CHARTS!!!!  ONLY MUCH LATER ON IN 1972 WHEN 'LAYLA' WAS A BIG HIT - DID THIS DOUBLE LP THEN SELL IN MUCH LARGER QUANTITIES!!!!  AND SO FINDING A 100% GENIUNE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING FROM THE VERY 'DAY OF RELEASE' IN NOVEMBER 1970 IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE!!!! 

AND IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO SHOW THE CLEAR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE 'NOVEMBER 1970' 1ST PRESSING - AND THE LATER RE-PRESSINGS FROM 1972!!!!  THIS DOUBLE LP AS 100% GENIUNE 'EARLIEST' UK 1ST PRESSING FROM NOVEMBER 1970 (WITHOUT EXCEPTION!) MUST HAVE:-

1) FLAT LABELS WITH NO 'RIDGE' AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE LABELS (LATER COPIES FROM 1972/3 DO!).

2) 'MATCHING' DATE CODED '1170' DATE CODED INNER SLEEVES (LATER ONES DONT!) - SHOWING THIS DOUBLE LP DATES FROM THE 'DAY OF RELEASE' BACK IN NOVEMBER 1970!!!!

3) THE CAT NUMBER TO THE RIGHT OF EACH LABEL MUST BE PRINTED IN VERY LARGE PRINT WITH NO 'DASH' BETWEEN THE NUMBERS (THIS WAS CHANGED IN 1971/2 TO MUCH SMALLER & LONGER PRINT, AND A ''DASH' WAS ADDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CAT NUMBER!!!! 

SO THERE IS ABSOLUTELY DOUBT AT ALL (WITH ALL THESE ESSENTIAL 1ST PRESS ONLY DETAILS!) - THAT THIS IS THE 'EARLIEST' & RAREST 1ST PRESSING YOU CAN POSSIBLY GET!!!!

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS DOUBLE LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION - AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1970 UK 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING ON 1ST PRESS 'EARLIEST' POLYDOR LABEL, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'LARGE' LABEL CAT NUMBERS, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'MATCHING' DATE CODED INNER SLEEVES, AND 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS 'MacNEILL' GATEFOLD COVER!!!!  THIS DOUBLE LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL Polydor UK 1st Pressing from 1970 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The records are pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is 2625 005 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Polydor label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing (there were NO Monos!)!!!!

The record labels on BOTH records are in AWESOME condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!!  IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THESE RECORDS HAVE BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!!  The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s Double LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO nasty concentric marks, only 2 or 3 hairlines (on 1 side ONLY!), NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORDS STILL RETAIN THEIR ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINE LIKE NEW!!!!  It is also great to find that the records play as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO skips, only a few VERY light clicks on 1 side ONLY (though mostly NONE!), NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle AT ALL, and only some EXTREMELY low level background sound on the run on grooves & gaps - NOT in the music AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The records must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  WHAT A BRILLIANT SET OF RECORDS!!!!  Believe me these records are NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The records also come in their ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Matching' Date Coded inner sleeves which are in SUPERB condition!!!!  The ORIGINAL 1st Press 'MacNeill' Gatefold Cover is in absolutely BRILLIANT condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear (apart from some almost INVISIBLE 'touching in' traces on the bottom edges!), NO spinal wear (PERFECT side words!), only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking indeed!), NO ringwear, NO rubbing, NO sticker tears, only some very VERY minor evidence of 'tipping in' to the corner tips, NO annotations, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edges are beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL!!!!  Even the inside of the cover is in SUPERB condition with NO grubbyness, NO ringwear, NO rubbing, NO yellowing, and NO writing!!!!  The cover must MEGA STRICTLY grade Very Good++++ if not better - and is very VERY close to a grade above!!!!  BRILLIANT COVER!!!!  THIS DOUBLE LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
