I have played ALL the records completely.
These record are FULLY play graded as mainly NEAR MINT. See below for more details.  There are no repetitive clicks or tics. There are no repeats. There are no jumps.
Remember this Limited Edition set is over 45 years of age.
Rheingold plays as near mint apart from one light bit of crackle.  Der Walkerie plays as near mint.  Siegfried plays as near mint apart from one pop on side 8!  Gotterdamerung plays as near mint.  An introduction to Des Ring Nibelungen  A small bit of crackle otherwise near mint.  Please note that there is a little damage to on of the spines. See final photo.
So to summarise NO major problems like skips or repeats. One pop and the odd bit of dust static/crackle.  Quite remarkable for a set that is 45 years old AND over 44 sides or 22 lps!     Labels damaged NO Scratches            NO Hairlines              NO Scuffs                  NO Marks                   NO Sleeve removal marks NO Spindle traces.  A couple of light wispy trails. Most of the labels are in mint condition.
The box is in excellent condition with only a little wear to the bottom.  The inner box/sleeve for Siegfried has a scuff on it only visible when removed completely from the main box.
Maybe needs a wipe over as inevitably some dust will have got into the inner sleeves.

The cast which John Culshaw and Georg Solti assembled was sensational too. The head of Decca had declared that Wagner’s Ring could not be successfully recorded without the world’s foremost Wagnerian soprano, Birgit Nilsson, as Brünnhilde, and he was right. Nilsson’s soaring, powerful and majestic voice, recorded at its peak, is simply sublime. There had been some concerns that her Siegfried, Wolfgang Windgassen, might tire himself during the recording just as he was known to do on stage, but the studio proved an ideal space for him: he’s blisteringly terrific. The greatest Wotan of his age, Hans Hotter, sings the role in Die Walküre and Siegfried, while a superb George London sings the more youthful Wotan of Das Rheingold. Even the lesser roles – Joan Sutherland as Woodbird, Gwyneth Jones as Wellgunde, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau as Gunther – are cast from the top drawer. And in a final sensational coup, the greatest Wagnerian soprano of a former generation, Kirsten Flagstad, was persuaded to sing the relatively small role of Fricka.
A legendary conductor, a superb orchestra, a dream cast, novelty, innovation, a fanatical attention to detail, bags of energy, and devastating dramatic power. They’re all there in Wagner’s Ring, and leap off the discs as freshly now as they did in 1966. A perfect storm, you might say. And what could be better for Wagner, than a storm?

Grading is as follows based on Record Collector magazine UK
MINT: Virtually unplayed. The Record itself is in brand new condition with no surface             marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover is pristine.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very                          little lessening in sound quality.                         The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
V.G PLUS : The record has obviously been played but displays no major deterioration                      in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch.                     Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items is acceptable..
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably                deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and                contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, etc.

Further information. All records are separated from the sleeve and sent in a new polythene sleeve.
