Long-serving and popular Swiss deep house/techno/tech-house fusionist Deetron (real name Samuel Geiser) is the latest high-profile producer to be honoured with a Defected House Masters retrospective. This eight-track vinyl edition provides a short but sweet survey of some of his key cuts and most celebrated remixes. In the former category you'll find sparkling 1997 debut 'Starchaser', the piano-and-organ rich big room house build of 'Runnin', the MK influenced Seth Troxler hook-up 'Each Step' and deep and soulful Oversoul7 collaboration 'I Cling'. Remix wise, there's another chance to savour his sublime rubs of Fred Everything, Todd Terje (a killer and largely overlooked flip of 'Alfonso Muskedunder'), Wallflower (the sun-soaked wonder of 'Say You Won't Ever') and Gerd ('Palm Leaves' turned into a deep tech-house delight).
