Description
Original 1972 lp. Extremely scarce original soundtrack lp from the film ‘Deep Throat’. This is the original second pressing that was pressed up when the first pressing ran out after the unexpected success of the film.This lp was never available commercially and was pressed up by the film producers as a demo to give away to members of the audience at selected cinema/movie theatre screenings.Only small numbers were pressed and even fewer numbers made their way into the homes of the movie goers as many of the lps were destroyed after the huge outcry following the release of the film. So copies are extremely scarce and very rarely show up for sale at all. A hugely collectable lp.The sound quality is poor but notoriously all copies are the same.Musically it’s a great record with a mixture of sleazy jazz and funk with dialogue excerpts from the film in between. Hammond organ grooves and plenty of beats. A rare chance to obtain a sought after and scarce lp. The condition is excellent with some visible light surface marks but only very light and mainly only from the inner sleeve.Two visible light surface scratches but these are only small and do not affect play.No heavy marks and no reduction in sound quality,no skips or pops.The jacket is excellent with no major problems,just a fairly heavy crease to the top right corner.Otherwide perfect with all seams intact,no damage at all. Record excellent.Sleeve excellent.
