Description

On auction is a re-release of a classic album from 1968, which was part of record label EMI's 100th Anniversary who released a number of classic back-catalogue albums, using the original analogue tapes & packaging. The album is SHADES OF DEEP PURPLE by UK rock band DEEP PURPLE, their debut album. Not an immediate hit in the UK, but the album became a success when the band toured America, with their 1st single HUSH already a chart-topper. Fans later became aware of the album during the success in the 70s when the album was re-released, as with other EMI artists of the late 60s & early 70s. This re-release from 1997 is a limited edition as there were only a number made for the anniversary. As the label on the front states that this is pressed on VIRGIN VINYL (180gm), QUALITY SLEEVE, ANALOGUE CUTTING FROM ANALOGUE TAPES & ORIGINAL PACKAGING.

VINYL CONDITION - NEAR MINT - Flawless copy, both sides shiny and still looking like new. Labels looking clean and free from spindlemarks. Audio is superb. Very clear & super. No problems at all.

SLEEVE CONDITION - EXCELLENT - Very clean sleeve, both sides. Some light wear to corners. Light storage wear to back of sleeve. Some sign of light bend to bottom right corner. Overall excellent condition.
