The early works of Declaime and Madlib continue to be honoured with the 'In The Beginning' series, which now sees its third instalment. The rapper and producer are a deft and wieldy collaborative pair, and are known to have formed a pair-bonded voice for the city of Oxnard, California to thrive proudly. The tracks continue to buck the trend of what one might consider 'rhythm', continuing to wonk out and syncopate the beat - the intro to 'Too Much Clout' illustrates this point well enough, lackadaisically laying down the beat as if it were the product of a malfunctioning assembly line. The rest is history.
