DECCA SOLTI WAGNER RING1-22 Der Ring des Nibelungen Limited Edition 22LP Box Set

Record
See below under ‘Details of Records’ for record grades. All discs are mostly NM, except for the very last disc which I have described below and added a full audio example. The box set has a slight odour from previous storage room, but no mold/dirt and is clean.
Sleeve
Box and all covers/booklets are EX/NM. 1 Booklet has rusted staple marks, as seen in pictures below.
There is also a unique three record introduction to 'The Ring' set narrated by Deryck Cooke featuring excerpts from the four operas.
Each opera is in its own separate wooden ended partition with full size libretto booklets containing synopsis & full transcription for the operas.
The performance is THE classic version by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Georg Solti,
a powerful orchestral drama, phenomenal performance and superb sound.
The whole ensemble is enclosed in a very weighty carved wooden box with gilded front panel.

GÖTTERDÄMMERUNG
Disc 1: NM Disc 2: NM Disc 3: NM (light hairlines under light) Disc 4: NM (light hairlines under light) Disc 5: EX (a couple light lines not affecting play, some more hairlines etc under light)
Disc 6: VG - Unfortunaly this disc has 3 feelable scratches and some other lighter marks which affect play with ticks on the last playing side (side 2). The record does not skip. I have recorded this side of the record so you can hear below. Affected areas are in the first 1 minute and 3:40-6:00min (aprx), and the odd tick here and there. This record does not reflect the condition of the other discs which all play great. Seems just this one side had an accident!

I usually will write if there are any hairlines/marks etc..
I grade conservatively, also using the grade 'EX' for items visually slightly below 'NM’.
I try to only sell records in EX/NM condition.
Please view photo’s carefully for cover grades.
Records are not cleaned before grading/shipping and are graded/sold as is.
A NM/Mint looking record can still have static/ticks etc, a deep clean can usually fix this.
